Innovation Agency supports several business incubators and innovation centers, including Barama Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (currently has 3 centers) and Symbiosis Technical Business Incubator.
Barama Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center is the first business incubator established in Azerbaijan with the support of Azercell Telecom LLC and Pasha Bank in 2009. The main goal of the center is to develop digital environment in Azerbaijan. Since 2019, Barama has been supported by the Azerbaijan Innovation Agency.
Until 2017, the Center held more than 300 events, collected 3500 applications and launched 45 startups.
In January 2020, the Barama Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center implemented its first pre-acceleration program for early-stage startups, including more than 30 international and local mentors, up to 25000 manats of financial support.In 2019 regional centers in Ganja and Lankaran were renewed. Each regional center holds meetings and training aimed at educating local entrepreneurs in the regions and contributes to the development of startups.
The selection process for the pre-acceleration program consists of 3 stages: automatic online evaluation, individual meetings with an internal team of specialists and finally closed demonstration day.
The last pre-acceleration program of Barama included more than 40 applications, 22 of which passed the first round, 10 of which passed the second round. At the last selection stage, five teams were selected to go through a pre-acceleration program.

During an intensive 12-week program teams were supported by mentors and specialists in various fields, including value proposition, product development, business model, as well as support in legal and financial fields.
The program aims to support startups, attract customers and reach new markets at the initial stages of MVP ( minimal viable product) development.
